LOKL COFFEE CO . @ JALAN TUN H.S. LEE , Kuala Lumpur

We decided to throw my friend a birthday party at Lokl Cafe which is located near masjid Jamek lrt station ! I have chosen this place because of its strategic location and the good reviews I have seen about it from other bloggers as well !

On the day itself , me and my friends hop off the lrt from masjid Jamek station and we used Waze to direct us to the cafe . It's just a nice short walk for about 5-6 minutes and we are there !

Apparently , there are many guest even in the early morning around 10am ( yes , I considered that as early hehe ) . Most of them are foreigners as there is a budget hotel called Back home next to Lokl .



My birthday friend got lost on her way to the cafe and she was sweating heavily when she got here . She almost took a walk around the whole area ( the merdeka square and even to the bar council ) . So folks , remember to set the settings to walk and not by driving .

Frittata - Rm 15.10
Spanish omelette , smoked chicken sausage , leeks , potatoes , onions and a side of grilled vegetables

Waffles banana pecans - Rm 17
Cornmeal waffles , banana , honey pecans served with gula melaka

Fresh milk - Rm5

C . Chorizo , prawn pasta - Rm 24

According to my friend who ordered the prawn pasta , it was lack of flavour . The pasta taste very bland .

My waffles banana pecans was a heartful and healthy choice ! Although I personally think that the waffles could be crispier .

I didn't expect the fritata to be like this ( I thought it was a flat one )

The birthday cake ！！Chocolate brownie :D ( Rm 9.50 )  

My friends and I thought that this brownie was delicious , it is very chocolate-ty and not too hard. The texture is just nice. In addition to that , we didn't expect them to decorate the plate with cocoa powder and put the cake in the middle with the candle on top of it nicely !

Balloons that we bought for her . It's quite awkward to buy the green co-loured balloons hehe , but she did like it as this is her favourite colour.

They even gave her a complimentary hot chocolate on her birthday ! How sweet was that. It taste very good too.

Ps: I could not resist the cuteness of the picture drawn on the paper cup. Later , i found out that it was drawn by one of the staff there , Yuki . Thanks Yuki !

We took some poloroids at the smoking area/outdoor of Lokl. If you prefer to have a nice morning coffee with the morning sun , it is definitely a perfect place to be ! There is also a long table where up can sit I think up to 10 people.

We are on Lokl's instagram ! The staff used his phone to take a picture of us.

Thoughts :

-The main dishes wasn't very good , opt for the cakes and coffees instead.

                

 - I like the ambiance very much , it is a good place to relax and chit chat with your                                 friends. 

                 

 -Staff are friendly and polite , and they always ask to check if we are ok with the food or                       not .

                  

-Food is quite expensive.

 LOKL is open from Tuesday to Sunday, 8:00am to 8:00pm. 

Closed on Mondays.
